I've been building this synth on and off for over a year, it was originally designed as an 8 voice version of the Crumar Bit 01 with the same bi-timbral capability. Unfortunately these voices of the Bit 01 sounded pretty awful to me, so I scrapped them in favor of AD9833 waveform chips driving the wave converter (triangle input) of the AS3340, this was mildly successful but I was still not happy. At the same time I had been working on a polyphonic 16 bit 8 voice MIDI to CV converter with autotune, once I had progressed to a stage where this was usable I decided that I could port the polyphonic MIDI to CV to a Pico and create a monophonic midi to CV that could handle the autotune of its own pair of VCOs. So the AD9833 section was replaced with a Pico, 8 channel DAC and a pair of AS3340 chips for each voice and the associated logic. The result is an 8 voice polysynth with bi-timbral capability, multi-pole filters, dual LFOs, dual envelopes, noise and an effects section, polyphonic glide, multiple modes, sync and polymod similar to the prophet 5. The demo below is 4 quick patches I made today and discovered a bug on recalling the playmode which is now fixed.
