No easel :I tested it and didn't find it up to par with the old one.

EDIT: before you all freak out and cancel your preorders because I spoke MY opinion:
The easels I received were the first two to come out of the factory.
They didn't sound or feel like my old ones: the wave shaping was off, there was some crosstalk between circuits , the keyboard mistriggered.
Also, despite using the same elements as the original, it sounds different. Just like EVERY other cloned module I had a chance to try. How different?
I cannot describe it, and to be honest I don't feel the need to. Use your ears.
I have been told that a lot of these issues have been addressed with new manufacturing and redesigns, which is great.
Certain design choices (just look at the old/new panel and see for yourself ) are different from the old Easel making it a bit messy to work with if you're used to the old one.
I'm sure there will be improvements and revisions as there always are.
I made the decision to move to another instrument, in part because of the above and in part because I needed more options which I found In the Makenoise system.
Once again, this is MY opinion, and I highly suggest you try the instrument for yourself and create your own, instead of basing it on others.

Hi,
I posted part of this reply in the Buchla forum also.
My decision was based on the two units I received before tour, which I have been told were prototypes or the first two out of the line.
I have been told the manufacturing process has been improved and other changes have been implemented by BEMI. However, I still preferred moving to another platform for this tour for various reasons , and I now utilize a Makenoise shared system on this leg of the tour.
I hope this clarifies some things,
