Just a quick update on the Christmas availability of Drumkid (the aleatoric/random drum machine). I’m now selling full, assembled Drumkids (£100+tax) through Etsy, while the DIY kits (£50+tax) are now sold by Thonk, the excellent online DIY synth store. If you would like to order a Drumkid for Christmas, I would recommend placing international orders as soon as possible. Here are my recommended dates for ordering a Drumkid via my Etsy store:
Plans for 2022 2021 has been a hectic year for the one man band that is Matt Bradshaw Design. Despite taking plenty of time off to look after my first child, I’ve now sold 400 Drumkids since last year’s launch, which feels pretty great for my first project like this. I’ve also managed to build a promising prototype of my Polymod synthesizer, which is likely to be the next thing I launch. It’s a miniature, patchable modular synthesizer, but digital and polyphonic (one patch cable can send many virtual polyphonic signals). I don’t know quite what form factor it’s going to take, but it feels like something that people will want to play around with themselves, so it’s likely that the DIY kit will be relatively cheap and have an emphasis on designing your own unique version, while the assembled version will maybe be produced to a nice standard but in lower numbers than Drumkid. But who knows, this is all wild speculation. I can’t wait to share the details once it’s ready, though. | |

Hier, die Bassline und das Gewaber spielt die electribe. Die Drums der electribe werden allerdings vom drumkid gespielt.
Ein bisschen Gefilter hier und da vom Kp mini, womitichs aufgenommen habe.
Man beachte die kleinen Veränderungen des Rhythmus'.
Ausser wo mans wirklich hört, habe ich so gut wie nichts gedreht.

Sieht wie ein nettes Lötprojekt für Nebenbei aus.
Du könntest ein Drum Programm deiner Yamaha damit ansteuern..Fertiggestellt. Das war ja einfach.. Hat ca. 'ne Stunde gedauert. Die Anleitung ist nicht so toll, aber es geht auch ohne. Die Platine ist gut beschriftet.
Jetzt brauche ich nur noch eine Drummachine, um sie mit dem Ding anzusteuern
