"What we do a lot of the time is just hang out in the clubs and sort of be there rather than anywhere else," Booth explains ."We're not the type to go and sit in a dressing room or anything like that. We'll be there and we'll know what we'd like to hear. We'll go up and play tracks that we'd like to hear at that particular stage in the night. It tends to be what everyone else wants to hear as well, because they've been listening to the same music we have."
Usually, an Autechre live show is comprised of 4, 7-20 minute long tracks. Sometimes, the entire show will be just one long groove. The music is Autechre's sole focus; they don't care if they're boring to look at.
"We're not interested in having people look at us," says Booth. "There's nothing to see. If we were that sort of band, then we'd have videos out. The reason we don't have videos of us playing live is because there's fucking nothing to look at. It's just 2 guys pressing buttons on machines.
The group uses a fairly minimal set-up on stage - an Alesis 8 track MIDI Sequencer, to which they dump <a href="https://www.sequencer.de/specials/sequencer.html">Sequencer</a>uences from their computer, and an assortment of drum machines, samplers and effects. Autechre don't try to recreate their studio sound, but rather reinterpret their music.

. dennoch finde ich das vor allem bei live auftritten von electronikmusikern das publikum-interesse am herumschauben der artists doch sehr gross ist. ist mal was neues jemanden zu sehen der musik mit einer zB electribe macht, auf jeden fall würde ich dieses live geschraube einer live-band oder einem dj vorziehen. natürlich ist das genze sehr subjektiv da ich selber soche sachen verwende und interesse habe wie andere sowas machen und was sie verwenden, aber dennoch für alle anderen ist das was aussergewöhnliches.
