Hi everyone!
I am reaching out to share a little about what we have been working on for MASCHINE+ and give a brief overview of the plans for the coming months.
Firstly, let me introduce myself: my name is Mariana and, for the last year or so, I've been leading the team who is working on the MASCHINE+ software.
It's been an exciting ride and we have put a lot of energy into building our own embedded technology to run MASCHINE, a range of NI Instruments, FX and Expansions, as well as Native Access to manage it all. When getting their units, users had already an update available that included support for class-compliant audio interfaces, as well as several other stability and quality-of-life improvements.
We are thrilled to see all of the positive reactions from people who have been waiting so long to take their MASCHINE workflow away from the computer. On the other hand, we are sorry to hear whenever someone reports a crash or bug that got in the way of their musical flow. We definitely don't want to see this happen, and that is why our main priority at the moment is to make sure that MASCHINE+ is stable and that you can count on it in any situation.
We are already testing a new update that has a few bug fixes and stability improvements, and we expect to release this in the coming weeks. MASCHINE+ owners will be notified via email when the update is available and can update directly on the device in SETTINGS > SYSTEM.
In addition to
Stability, the following topics are at the top of our list for upcoming releases:
- Plug-in Updates: update to the latest versions of plug-ins such as KONTAKT and REAKTOR over the air.
- Support for External USB Storage Devices: connect via USB to access Samples and Projects.
- Support for KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series MK2, A-Series and M32 Keyboards:use the full capabilities of KOMPLETE KONTROL keyboards when connected to MASCHINE+ via USB. We are aware that many of you are also interested in using MASCHINE JAM and we hope to support that too!
- Additional Instruments & FX: support for additional NI Instruments & FX. The selections will be based on demand and feasibility.
It is worth noting that the information here is based on what we plan and know today and might be subject to change as things develop. There are several other things that we know people would love to see in MASCHINE+ (and us too!). To prioritise these, we will keep an eye on two things: the wishes of our customers and the feasibility of each feature.
I hope you find this information useful! I apologise in advance that I won't be able to answer all reactions to this post or others (especially this week since I will be on vacation). But you can be sure that we are doing all we can to hear your thoughts and wishes, both in this forum and in other communities.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to shipping the MASCHINE+ updates to you soon!
