Das haben Studio Electronics geschrieben - Die sind wohl ziemlich angepisst.

hey there, dear friends of Studio Electronics! thank you very much for taking the time to comment on our review. first of all, we apologise if you got offended by our “tweezers” remark, we probably could have come up with a more elegant way to comment on how we feel about the challenging size of this synth. point taken!
as for the filter, since in our opinion this synth is not a minimoog (but rather a great sounding synth on its own!), and has very nice additions like pwm, dedicated lfo, looping envelopes and more, we personally would have loved to see some changes in the filter section as well. while its a matter of taste, we prefer AGC filters, and since we were the ones to review it and not some other person that really like none AGC filters, we thought its noteworthy. do we love vintage filters? yes! do we get annoyed when the volume drops? most certainly.
as for the pots, as sealed as they might be, they still felt a bit wobbly (but not too bad!) while the mode-selectors felt very wobbly, and also required a good amount of force when switching. If anyone else had its hands on a unit and would like to argue on that we would love to hear it.
thats right, we did not know that there is an autotune routine because its not mentioned anywhere and nobody bothered to tell us.perhaps SE or roland could have reached to us and supply us with information on all the known issues the unit still had (which we actually did not completely list in the video but if you are interested we can list them here, just let us know). we weren’t planning on beta testing, but rather reviewing it, and as i cant imagine that these issues were not unknown to you, it would have been very helpful. because you did not let us know that there are issues, we always made sure to remind the viewers that this is an early version and that we assume that you are going to fix these stuff. i think this is pretty fair from our side.
as for the eurorack comparison, yes, iftah (the gentleman on the left) does use eurorack intensively, he loves the sound and possibilities and yes, at the same time he thinks that its a horrible format. the thing is, that unlike in the world of subtractive mono synths, in the modular world there is no alternative to the 3U format in terms of module choice and price, if there would be, he would gladly switch.
We can also shed some light about the “what´s he doing here” question. he is there because he was kindly asked to review your synth, which he gladly did, in a very very NONE BIASED fashion, highlighting what he liked about it, and what he did not like about it. while we understand that you might feel offended because it was not a completely positive review and we are sure that you invested a lot of time and love in the design, it does seem a bit odd that you question the legitimacy of a reviewer because he is criticising the form-factor.
we actually did review the back panel connectivity, for some reason it was not included in the final cut, we could imagine that due to the length of the review it was just left out.
as for the percussions, sure, this synth can do percussions, but its not really where it shines in our opinion. matter of taste. we would love to hear stuff that proves us wrong!
all that said, this synth sounds really really good! we are pretty certain that many people will be able to appreciate it and we wish you all the luck!
