Ja aber vllt. ist es ja DAS Argument für viele dieses Gerät zu kaufen. Mein Gefühl sagt zwar "nein" aber ich hab ja (hoffentlich im Gegensatz zu Elektron) keine Marktforschung betrieben.

Für mich war das jedenfalls auch ein Argument, bzw. ein dickes Plus. Ist doch super komfortabel. Vor allem die Soundverwaltung stelle ich mir easy vor. Und falls es mal klappt Audio zu streamen... warum nicht

Es ist ziemlich cool, die ganzen Sounds tabellarisch vor sich zu haben. Das ist ja immer ein Problem bei Menügeführten Synths. Tausende von Presets und ellenlange Listen zum Scrollen.

Habe eine Frage zum A4.. ist es eher eine Groovebox , also hat er auch beats und percussion? oder nur 4x Synth wie der Tetra`?

Der A4 ist ein sehr vielseitiger Synthesizer.
Drums und Percussion kann der sehr gut, finde ich.
Du hast 4 Synth Tracks, einen FX Track und einen CV Track fürs Sequencing.
Da es verschiedene Voice Allocation Modi gibt steht es dir frei ob du ihn als 4x Mono Synth, 4 stimmigen Poly Synth, oder irgendeine Mischung daraus benutzt.

Du kannst z.B. auch 3 Spuren für monophones und eine für polyphone Sachen nutzen. Musst halt die Steps so setzen, dass genug Stimmen frei sind.

Mit Sound Locks (Patchwechsel pro Step) könntest du z.B. auch mit einer Spur für Drums auskommen.

Ich glaub die Änderungen zum Keys waren nicht so groß. Filter Overdrive wurde nochmal überarbeitet, größeres und besseres Display und haptisch ansprechendere Knöpfe mit besserer Beleuchtung. Dazu noch ein extra Performance Drehregler.

Der Sound und das Filter sind viel direkter, das ist schon ein großer Sprung in meinen Augen. Das komplette Schaltungsdesign wurde verbessert. Gerade beim Keys hatte ich im Hintergrund mal einen zb VCA zippen gehört, das Verhalten gibts beim MK2 nicht. Das Resonanzverhalten ist auch schärfer..

Ui, schön. Ich mag den Sound des Keys schon sehr, wenn das Filterchen noch cooler ist, ist das ja hervorragend.
Wie stehts mit Bugs? Abstürze etc?

das Display hat dieselbe Auflösung/Grafik und ist deshalb sogar kleiner, aber viel schärfer und aus grossem Winkel lesbar - allgemein ist die Visualisierung durch die hintergrundbeleuchteten Knöpfe bei der mk2 sehr toll, ob dir das wert ist, schaust du am besten mal am echten Gerät an

hat ja 2 verschiedene Filter pro Stimme, wie sehr die verbessert wurden kann ich nicht beurteilen, ist sicher keine totale Änderung wie man bei einem Eurorack die Filter tauschen würde..

So, der Gerät ist nun bei mir eingezogen und ich finde den MK2 wundervoll. Die bessere Haptik/Qualität der Potis gegenüber MK1/Keys war das erste was mir aufgefallen ist. Sound ist eigentlich genau das was ich am Keys mag, Detailänderungen habe ich noch nicht gründlich genug untersucht. Formfaktor ist super, da er leicht angeschrägt ist muss ich mir kein Stand bauen.

Gibst die Scale vor, die interne Tastatur spielt dann nur noch die Töne der festgelegten Skala. Kommt vom Digitone.

ändert die Auflösung per Track. Du kannst z.B. einstellen dass ein Track nur halb so schnell läuft, oder 1/4 etc... Die Auflösung ist dann nicht mehr 16tel, aber das ist super für z.B. Padsounds die länger als die 4 Takte klingen sollen usw

Bug fixes

[MKII] Audio errors were shown in test mode even if there were no actual errors.

An error was shown in the MODULATION SETUP menu when selecting the FX or CV track as a destination.

LFO depth was missing a minus sign when the value was between 0 and -1.

The CV setup page settings were not updated properly if the settings were made after accessing the page from the GLOBAL SETUP menu and then accessed and viewed using [FUNC] + [CV A] , and vice versa.

When playing on the internal keyboard while receiving MIDI, incoming MIDI could in some cases be muted until another note was played on the internal keyboard.

The function to press and hold [PERF] to see the parameter values for the performance macros did not work.

The [KEYBOARD] could under some circumstances play at a wrong velocity after loading a new project.

keys changed the master tune in the opposite direction than expected.

Tap tempo did not always update properly.

[KEYS] MIDI was not sent on channel 16 in external keyboard mode.

PITCH BEND was not shown as bipolar in the MODULATION SETUP menu.

[MKII] In the SONG EDIT menu, the OCTAVE LEDs were incorrectly showing -1 for an untransposed pattern.

[MKII] The TRACK LEVEL graphics showed max and min settings before the actual max and min value was reached.

[MKII] Any settings made in CONTROL INPUT 1/2 were not automatically applied after re-boot.

Parameters could get inverted when modulated with pitch bend at -64. For example, with PAN set to 0 and modulated with pitch bend: PB +63 (max) = full pan left, PB -63 = full pan right, PB -64 (min) = full pan left.

There were incorrect start values when creating a non-kit lock such as trig condition or note length, if the trig contained a sound slot lock.

Trigs with PRE and NOT PRE conditions did not trigger correctly the first time a pattern played.

[MKII] Some encoders were set to change their parameters at the wrong speed.

The pattern selection mode was not exited correctly when the pattern/bank selection pop-up window was closed by another pop-up window opening.

[MKII] CONTROL INPUT 1/2 CV settings of zero/max was not applied until the menu was closed.

The selection of characters on the NAMING menu pop-up screen, using the LEVEL /DATA knob did not behave correctly.

It was not possible to edit chains when not in CHAIN mode.

The sequencer started after preroll, even if it was paused before the end of the preroll.

The shortcut [FUNC] + [UP]/[DOWN] on the SCALE menu to change length in increments of 16, only worked for the M.LEN parameter, but not for the TRACK LEN and PATTERN LEN parameters.​

Das er nun externes Gear via Midi sequenzieren kann, ist richtig super! Ich probiere das heute Abend gleich mal aus, wenn der Workflow einigermaßen intuitiv ist wäre das die Kirsche auf der Torte. Hammer!
Damit wäre der CV Track - wenn man kein CV Zeug hat - jetzt quasi als Midi Track verwendbar und damit könnte ich jetzt wirklich 100% der Möglichkeiten des A4 nutzen.
