Wenn man unkompliziert und einfach Musik machen will nimmt man ein MacOS, etwas billiger ein Windows10. Da läuft alle angesagte Hardware und Software zu 100%. Latenzen sind "out of the box" super. Etc. pp. .
Wenn einem die Hardware und Software ~egal ist, also es kann sein das die Hardware nicht zuverlässig und zu 100% unterstützt wird und Software einem egal ist, es gibt nur wenige Windowssoftware die auf Linux einfach und zuverlässig läuft (andersrum ähnlich), und man gerne frikeln will für erträgliche Latenzen kann mit einem Linux glücklich werden.
