Keyboard Magazine Review of the OASYS
Found out why Keyboard Magazine says "If you want to sound like you and no one else, I can think of no other instrument that makes it more possible than this one..." in their review of the OASYS

The filters sound really lovely — quite analog actually. Apparently
the HD-1 benefited from the work done on the analog modeling engin
• AL-1 is one of the best analog simulations I’ve
ever heard. Thanks to Drive and Low Boost controls at
the oscillator level, ballsy sounds need not rely on
effects for their beef. There’s no aliasing or filter
stair-stepping even with filter resonance cranked way
up and the cutoff swept very slowly; this aids realism
mightily. The filter sound is just plain wicked. Very,
very fat, creamy, and convincing. Waveform morphing
is a fun new plaything. There are detuned waves
where Morph adjusts the amount of detuning and
combo waves where Morph determines where in the
continuum between a pure square wave and a pure
triangle wave your new wave falls. This AL-1 is no
foolin’ around. There are two step Sequencers built
into the AL-1 voice, handy for all kinds of creative uses.
And two AL-1’s can run concurrently at the Program
level, giving you an extremely powerful virtual analog
synth. AL-1’s flexibility reminds me of semi-modulars
like the ARP 2600, and it’s all under digital control
and syncable to MIDI clock. Thrilling.
