This is Peter Grenader.
I see Ross has once again violated my privacy. So be it.
I will state the facts as I experienced them. It is not my intent to
sway you either direction on this matter and I leave you your freedom
to from any opinion you see fit. It is my intention to finally
suggest a workable solution.
One, before we go any further, the allegations that I have ripped off
employee (name removed), who I terminated last Thursday, are completely
untrue. I have sent various letters to him directly and on Muff
Wiggler stating the facts: once he gives me his hours for the
partial day Thursday when he did not return after lunch, and once he
returns the set of keys to the Helms Building and his Helms parking
pass, I will gladly pay him for the week that is due. But this
resolution is but the tip on an iceberg which has been floating
around since the beginning of March and now it's time for it to stop.
I had initially informed I'm directly that I would cut him a check
immediately , but asked that he wait until after the national holiday
to cash it. THis was unacceptable to him, and I'll guess the
reason's behind him publishing a series of postings which make some
very serious and untrue allegations about me and my girlfriend
Jennifer, once calling her a prostitute and a crackhead.
A history:
I have made some mistakes over the past six years. There are a
number of individuals which I owe product to, most came about
recently, and a dealer which has an issue, although his and my
numbers do not concur.
In February of this year I contacted a few individuals about
reservations they had placed for Model 32 Vector Plotters. I was
able to get a few of these out - not many - before two unexpected
things hit our path: During negotiation with our previous dealer for
a review of their current margins, it was determined that it would be
best that I leave the facility and seek another dealership. I was
originally requested to leave the premises within one week's time,
but I didn't make that. I did vacate however on March 13, 2009,
three weeks after that discussion. Before that I had no idea this
was going to happen. The second issue is more personal, as I made a
planned visit to a good friend in Conn and she ended up coming back
with me. We had to take a few weeks during the period after our
return on Feb. 26 to find a place to live. During that time
deliveries of the M32 stopped, and I fell on my ass communicating
these delays to the individuals involved. This is completely my fault.
The second issue is in regards to repair returns from my previous
dealer. There were about 12 separate lots, some with multiple items
totaling about 15 modules. Four of these return lots were given to
me in a state in which I could trace the owner. The rest were given
to me via a dealer work order and while one would think it would be a
fairly simple task to match the two together, when there are
multiples of the same item in for repair and without serial numbers,
it has become a very knotty issue to sort out - but we are attempting
to do that.
The remaining issues are screw-ups that have been lingering for some
time. Gene Schwartz Milton repair - which had already been shipped
to him once, Norman Fey's series mo module's he purchased form me
directly and a motivity port purchased on a sale which suffered some
mechanical damage as we attempted to pack it up for shipment.
I can offer no excuse for these problems outside of the fact that I
mishandled them and I am truly sorry for what has come about - it's
all my fault and I take complete responsibility. but I have been
taking care of them, one at a time and in the order they hit our
books. There are a few individuals who have come forward and stated
this has happened, but many who have not, Of the initial 29 or so
M32 preorders, all but five reman who have not sought a refund
through paypal. I am shipping the remaining five units to Big City
Music this weekend for them to distribute. There is a huge confusion
with paypal currently on what de to the individuals who have
requested a refund. Some got all of their funds back, one only
received a partial and then there are three or so who have requested
a chargeback and at that point it is completely out of our hands.
Unlike Ross, Paypal does in fact honor a person's privacy and they
will not give me the name of the original credit card company for
these transaction in order to determine if the chargeback is in a
stage where it can be reversed upon delivery of the unit they
orders. In short, once a chargeback is begun, I can do nothing.
For a complete history of all of this, I invite you to go to Muff
WIggler where it's all been documented. But along with that, there
has been countless attacks on both me and my girlfriend. Photos have
been posted, countless remarks which would be unfitting for a cow. I
am guilty of causing a delay and I am working on this as stated
before and have tried on numerous occasions to keep this topic on
track so that we may deal with this issue, but these attacks are
unending and I feel unrighteous and there is point where slander and
defamation take precedence. Jennifer, who had originally signed up
to assist in communication with these individuals, has since given it
up after so many attacks on the Muff List, many of them mocking and
beyond rude, and having a photo posted from her modeling site which
clearly stated the copyright usage requirements.
I am guilty of causing the problems which have been brought to fore.
But I am a human and my rights, which have been constantly
overlooked, my dignity, which is being stepped on like a door mat and
my efforts to repair the situation have gone largely unnoticed and
unfairly sited. Details from Jennifer and my personal life have been
tossed around without care of consequence. It is clear to me that
these individual do not care about the laws they violate, but only
the damage caused to my company and to me personally. I have been
accused of being a thief, a scam artist, even a drug addict and most
of this over what began as a six week delay. When I make comments, I
am instantly called a liar. When I arrange for long term solutions
to their concerns, like introducing a third party repair depot for
Plan B goods, I am criticized for the way I presented the
information. I've had our Wikipedia entry altered on several
occasions. There have been articles written about this issue in e-
zines. The small group of individuals which have been circling their
wagons are making their message clear: Do not deal with Plan B
unless you want to be ripped off. There have been individuals who
have come to fore in these discussions which are fabricating the
truth about the issues which arose, and I have been defenseless in
stating the facts. There is a certain point when the lunacy becomes
overwhelming, and I have since stopped sweeping this discussion group
as it serves no purpose. Instead, I am working the issues I have
been since this all came up in March.
Ladies and Gentlemen - I am guilty of the issues put before me and
people have a right to be angry about it, but they do not have the
right to violate my privacy, mock and defame me for five months while
I sort things out. Please remember that I am not the only small
manufacturer who has suffered fallbacks, who has caused delays, who
has not delivered as promised but I am clearly the one who has been
receiving the most publicity about it. There is a point where things
become out of hand and I am proposing a solution:
Instead of this constant string of attacks which have been going on
now for the better part of this year, I am asking for five weeks -
until June 4th of this year to clear up all of these issues - or in
the case of business to business issues, come up with an agreed upon
course of action over time. Five weeks. If I don't pull it off, I
will assist you in putting a class action in play. But this madness,
and the endless and unrighteous attacks against me, my loved ones and
my company has got to stop.
I offer no excuses for what's happened. I've been on this scene for
close to seven years as a manufacturer. We've released 26 products
with over a thousand of them in the field and merrily doing their
thing. I am not going to run with the money and skip town at the end
of this trek. I intend to continue developing our product line and
putting the systems in place which support that growth. I will
continue to take care of these immediate issues and will assure that
the corrective actions I've proposed come to fore - but I'm asking
for five weeks of silence for this to occur.
