ich poste hier zum Nachlesen mal meinen ersten Mailwechsel zum VENOM an M-AUDIO
START:

wenn ich in diesem zusammenhang einen vorschlag machen darf.
mein Bedürfnis zum VENOM, ich sehe eine bis dato stark zu verbessernde imagearbeit!
die demo-präsenz zum venom ist gelinde gesagt "schlimm".
der venom ist viel, aber seine stärken liegen in der classic-analog-maschine.
schafft ihr m-audio team genau das zu vermitteln sehe ich das image des venom als classic-VA positiv.
ich habe kurz vor dem kauf die erfahrung gemacht das die meisten den venom GAR NICHT KANNTEN!
geschweigen denn sein potential, seit meinem video, so platt es klingt aber es ist wahr, bekomme ich rückmeldungen ala "...hätt ich gar nicht von teil erwartet, geil"
ist spaßig aber auch irgendwie ernüchternd.
ergo, macht einen riesenartikel, endorservideos, van halen, jump, oberheim, prince, etc. etc. und gebt dem venom ein "gesicht"
bietet signature-soundbänke von billy idol bis toto und setzt das unter ein motto
ala imagearbeitstitel...our VENOM goes modern classic, macht den venom zur "gitarre".
bei keiner anderen instrumentengattung wird so viel imagepflege und namenshype betrieben wie in der gitarrensparte,
ich spiele auch eine "vintage telecaster 50 classic"
ein instrument ist wie ein auto, man will individualität und auch posen.
damit haben gitarristen ja überhaupt kein problem
gebt dem vennom potential zu legende! es muß einfach spaß machen zu sagen "ich spiel einen venom", wie damals "oh mein gott, er spielt einen ob-8!"
da helfen eben massiv klänge. und damit mein ich nicht den klangstrudel einer soundpool-oberfläche zum lieblosen 2-dimensionalen download.
nein eine kleine menge handverlesener sounds, auch zum weiterprogrammieren einladend, mit kultcharakter, beispiel der minimoogbass-sound der sos-band.
dunkel, breit, voll, mit einem hauch von filter attack, herrlich...DAS kann der venom auch!
das muß meiner meinung nach sehr sehr schnell kommen sonst läuft der venom gefahr, wie ein paar seiner brüder micron, miniak, ion, ultranova, durch eierlegendewollmilchkuhcharaktere ins niemannsland abzugleiten.
gaaanz schlimmes beispiel rolands neuer "jupiter 80", die hätten was großes schaffen können. wenn du die videos des jupiter 80 kennst, die sind so erbärmlich das mir das gerät, nicht die entwickler, echt leid tut.
na, "meine" meinung, aber ich bin seit 1980 im geschäft.
das potential des venom ist groß, sein klang wiedererkennbar, schön anzusehn, haptisch gut im apple-weiß und so könnte er mit erwähntem productplacement supergeschickt klanglich in die riege der großen treten
gebt uns/den kunden was womit sie sich jenseits der soundkarte oder software identifizieren können, laßt den venom nicht zur euro-sound-schleuder verkommen.
ganz neuer vorschlag, "VENOM-KOMBI", ich kombiniere den venom mit meinem waldorf-xt, gigantisch, die beiden verhalten sich symbiotisch, bringt doch auf der venom-seite eine reihe kultiger VENOM-KOMBIS, laßt "andere maschinen" in seine nähe, ich benutze ja die aux-ins für den waldorf, perfekt!
ne kombi, wie damals den dx7 mit d50 zu vereinen, viele kunden haben ja "mehrere" synthis, macht doch ne art fashion-week for venom.
venom mit blofeld, venom mit evolver, etc.
der venom hat von anfang mit der guten VA-maschine gefallen,
sollten wünsche zu sounds oder deren neuprogrammierung kommen, helf ich gerne.

for me it would be a pleasure! you already know my wishes for the major changes very good now.
it´s my deep opinion, don´t change a winning horse!
the soundengine is marvelous and even in the next upgrade levels i will be satisfied with the actual performance of the venom.
it´s allways the same, we real synthesits want pots furnitures and a glory synth-image-identification...thats all the rest is our ongoing intercommunication with the machine. so you must not urgently push up the performance of the venom-soundengine, no, give us the things mentioned and we are totally satisfied i´m totally shure with these thoughts. oh my god, so many synth factorys make so big mistakes and therefor lost their products (look at...micron, ion, miniak, xiosynth)

yes i agree, (the themes? where?) ...money!! but hear my advice, ts ts ts...can you remember?
there was a custom skinned wavestation (i owned one) a graffitti version too.
they totally failed! i knew a customer who wanted to cut this foil down..no way, to strong adhesives.
make a case, put the original knobdesign, controlling the inside venom, for instance a stripped "venom-expander"
let the synthcarrier or venom-container or stop...VENTAINER ...YES, call it VENTAINER-OB

with a more little scale, suggest 1:1,5 , 37 keys with a price about 900 bucks ...

also liebe Synthy.Freunde, ich weiß das war jetzt ein wirklich langer Text, aber ich war damals schon sehr erstaunt mit diesen 1 zwei Mails zum Einen unglaublich unkompliziert
die Industrie kontaktet zu haben und zum Anderen dabei auch zwei äußerst zuvorkommende Menschen kennengelernt zu haben
Was also aus verwunderter Verärgerung zum Productplacement heraus als Mail entstanden war wurde tatsächlich erhört und darauf reagiert
Ich kann im Nachhinein nur sagen, ich war vollkommen verblüfft, es geht also ab und an seine Meinung der Industrie direkt und erfolgreich kundtun zu können.
der Kontak ist zZt mit Erscheinen meines Set´s im Standby
aber das alles so zu erleben war eine tolle Erfahrung
