Used to be a Minimalist, I am a better Fractalist now. I explore the backyards of House, not caring about harmonics or doing things right. I do what I have to do and how I feel the world. Digital is fine, but digital is only a transition to something really exciting. Digital equals brain and control - I want to go back into the bones and body.

I love music and football. As a teenager I used to play double-bass and e-bass in several local funk and fusion bands. I was totally into black music (Coltrane, Miles Davis, Earth Wind & Fire, JB) and ignoring Kraftwerk. Among my friends I was the only one, who was into dancing, so consequently "Saturday Night Fever" brought me into funny clubs, one called Joy-Center (The first club with a videoscreener in Düsseldorf) and I found myself dancing the night away.
The late 90s brought my attention back to music (had a break of nearly 15 years), when I discovered "Clicks and Cuts / Mille Plateaux" and the possibility to do grooves with atonal materials. It was around 2000 when Terrence Dixon´s music hit me hard (Minimal/Background) and I decided (quite naive) to do my own music.
Now I just do what I do and what I am into, without boundaries and limiting concepts. This works best to me.
Love & Peace, Garben
