MIDI Sound Editor for editing Hardware Synthesizers via MIDI SysEx Strings Sound Manager for managing Sound Libraries

Universal Synth Editors

  • jsynth (linux + win OSX synthesizer editor software! free aber rudimentär..)

etc. http://www.jsynthlib.org/

  • sounddiver - editor für hardware synthesizer , mac only inzwischen, lange war eine beta online, ist zzt bei version 3.1 beta2 und zzt free. was passiert damit ist leider klar: Es wurde eingestampft - no more available but the best one on OS9. http://www.emagic.de/ (now apple)

Editors for one Synth

There are special Editors for Synths available, most of them are available on one platform only (mac OR pc/win). Be big advantege here is to have a dedicated software for a synth with GUI fitting in well. Anyway - Most Manufacturers got nice USB/MIDI Editors with their new synths these days, but here's a list of those who do not benefit from the release in the USB-era.

  • MATRIX 1000 PROGRAMMER 2.0 - Mac OS X

  • ObieEditor - Matrix 1000 - Mac OS X
