- renamed on 12th of January 2007 to Apple Inc. (in fact they sell iPods, music, and iPhones now..)
- founded by Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs.
current Computer Serie Macintosh running OS X and previously OS 9, OS 8 etc. with PowerPC from Motorola, later on the G4 by IBM and today Intel. The OS'es are listed under OS X
- iPad iOs Apps - iPhone - iOs runs on both, but iPad is most suitable for music for it's nice large display, but some apps are available for the iPhone as well.

current audio relevant interfaces
- usb 2 and usb 3.0 (3.0 is faster but not supported by audio interfaces so far)
- Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 (double speed, fastest one available atm - in 2014)
- Firewire 400 and 800 (since usb 3 is fast enough fw was dropped by Apple and is only supported via 29€-interfaces in their Retina Macbook Pro Line - all other macs lost their firewire already. but is still dominant audio interface connection type)
