Resynthesis

analyses a complete sample audiofile and allows to work on it. mostly the "sample" is stored as another kind of mathematic "formula", the musician can change that analysed sound and create others sounds that will of course use exactly the sampled original sound as a basis. ofthen the system generates envelope forms and a spectrum from it and lets the used to scan through the spectrum, early resynthesis systems allowed not that much.
