it has the FASTEST ENVELOPES I every listend to on ANY synthesizer!

two filters and 3x FM - OSCs..
a lot of paramters can be patched using 3.5mm jacks

but, hell.. I have never listended to a better synth for percussion sounds because of the 0.5ms Envelopes!

there is linear and expo characteristics.

the LFO is about 60Hz fast.
it's one LFO, the s2, a smaller version has 2 LFOs aboard..

2 ENVs, ultrafast
all standard waveforms on the VCOs
internal midi available and can be sent to the "outside wolrd" ,too..

and 3 VCOs all FM able..Sinus, Triangle, Sawtooth, Triangle + Pulse, Pulse, syncable 2 VCOS!! means: vco 1 and2 , vco 2 and 3!! hard sync only, but 2 syncs!! and as said: the fastest envelopes on an analog synth ever since..

the cwejman modular system:

doepfer-sized modules, very slim.. very good and very fast env, here it is 0.1ms ,again faster than the s1's envs (05.ms):

has an interesting control Joytick with built in potentiometer..

also: sensor keys in the middle with phaser, filter etc. control (enable/disable)

only 10 Lords made..

3 VCOs, one of them can be used as LFO, mods VCO1,2 or filter, no PWM but multimode filter, rough sounding analogue
envs: nice, but not that fast..

the steiner parker synthacon was sort of "minimoog" synth with 3 VCOs and multimode filter with FM functionality and the valve instrument (on the right on the bottom picture)

this one has 3 VCOs , all can be FM'ed by each other and all VCOs range to 20khz! this thing was made in 1974.

it has simplified envelopes like the minimoog (sort of..) and has a clock generator.. and a multimode filter 12dB/oct.

quite a lot of features in times,where the sh5 was about to come and arp and moog dominated the synth world.

anyway: this won't be seen too often.. unfortunately..

uses banana jacks (!).. they are "stackable"..

Don Buchla also made the Oberheim Ob-MX when Tom Oberheim left Oberheim (!)

His Buchla Box 200e is a very big digital memory modular system with multi-staage envelopes and sequencers, complex control and very high price, but Buchla did a lot of very visionary/innovative synths in the same time when moog did his more popular and more known synths, buchla is a bit unconventional, even in 1982 he had programmable "controllers" like todays sequencers in software in a box. (the mid phase of his modular series), means: see/draw in your envelope.. well, not that easy those days but very new..

Buchla has a new system out, a modular system with RAM, digital analog hybrid.
Don Buchla was also responsible for the "oberm00g" OB-MX synth by Oberheim (Tom Oberheim wasn't Toms company at that time..

110F it's strange, some technology of this synth came from ARP, it has a fixed filter bank , 2 VCOs and 2 ADSR envelopes.
similar to ARP it has one lfo with 20hz max only and a self reso 24dB/oct LPF with "roland type" fixed HPF. the lfo can trigger the ENVs, ringmod is on board, too. it's VCOs have a very large range from LFO/low to 64' to 4'!! goood for ringmod noises!
the mixer does not allow ringmod and noise at the same time but it's white or pink noise then..
