Flettverk is an experimental, touch plate synthesizer/processor intended for live electronics setups interfacing eurorack systems or other modular tabletop devices. The instrument is tuned for the upper part of the frequency spectrum producing squeaks, smacking, fluttering atonal melodies, clicks and the odd throb. Used as a processor the instrument takes on a dual role of sound-shaper and sound-source,
mangling the incoming audio as the incoming audio mangles Flettverk. This is a temperamental device that may respond differently dependent on factors such as air humidity, surface condition, skin “quality” and nearby electromagnetic radiation.
