I very much value the ongoing development of Jeannie's synth 'engine', for example the enhancement of oscillator types, addition of modulation options etc. However, it would be a lovely Christmas present if there was delopment of: A tool to help organize patches and banks, similar to MIOS SysEx...

About time for another drop from me. Synth sounds from Jeannie and Korg Radias + beat loop from Presonus Studio One (6). Happy listening -> best with headphones!

All sounds from Jeannie. No attempt to run compression, or limiter, or EQ. Just straight into PreSonus Studio One v6. Best with good quality earbuds or headphones.

Hi, Please could you explain these two settings in a bit more detail for me? Voice-M : Mon6 (unison 6 voices) Is this still for Osc1 Wave P21? What steps do you follow to set this? VCA: PAN to 127 (panorama) Is this sub-menu of VCA ENV? If so, how does this actually work? For me it seems to...

I don't think anyone is expecting you to rapidly deliver enhancements without taking the time you need. I do think we appreciate all the work you do! It's amazing how much you've crammed into this little box of goodness.

Yep, TyCommander is part of TyTools. I would recommend looking into MIOS Studio, as it means you don't have to access the SD card. Just use Sysex over MIDI. http://www.ucapps.de/mios_studio.html

My experience is that updating the .hex file is super simple. I just use the TyCommander program once my laptop is connected to the Teensy via the USB cable. Make sure the Options section has 'Reset device after successful upload' = Yes Use 'Upload New Firmware' to add the new .hex file Select...

Please can you confirm which resistors to change, and to what values? Is it R26 and R23, both to 5K? Is it R20 and R21 as well, both to 5K? Thanks for your perseverance on the encoder problem!

I have exact same behaviour as highsiderr. If I move the encoder reeeeaaaally slooooooowly then it is more likely to move to the next patch / page. If I move the encoder quickly then it is much less likely to move to the next patch / page. I have none of these problems with my Korg Radias or...

+1 with encoder problems. I installed the Bourns PEC11L-4120F-S0020 as recommended in the BOM, but it gives me all sorts of trouble. If there is a better one then I'm prepared to fix it.

The AMT values set in Slot 29 (LFO3 -> Os1 PRM_A) are not being saved when you save the Patch. Steps to reproduce: Set a value in AMT, eg value = 55, against Slot 29 and test the sound Save the patch Move to another patch using encoder Move back to original patch and test the sound I'm having...

I have uploaded 2.74 but can't work out how to emulate the vowel sounds from post #1,536 (Sept 24). I have set OSC1 to Wave A #3 and if I change PARAM_A or PARAM_B I just have variation of Multisaw. Can @rolfdegen explain how we can set 2.74 to test/play vowel sounds? Thanks

Hello, Has there been any progress on a metal case option for Jeannie, or Eurorack solution? Thanks

Happens to me too. Does this mean that the Bourns PEC11L-4120F-S0020 is not the best encoder to use? I'm happy to replace for one that does a better job if Andre/Rolf can provide details!

I like the new prototype case - I would buy one if the price + shipping isn't too high. Yes, the line (frame) can be a bit nearer to the top and bottom edges to resolve the issue with proximity to 'Midi' led and 'Volume' knob markings. I also agree with av about the 'Data' knob markings; I would...

thanks Andre, I think you mean EPS. Anyway, I had an idea and have been able to import the PDF as a vector file into my graphics software. I will use this, thanks, to make an aluminum panel to mount Jeannie in Eurorack or custom wood box.

On the basis that you are unlikely to get at least 50 pre-orders for metal cases, can you publish the vector file that has been provided to PlexiLaser (Mr. Schon)? I would like to make my own top panel, but the PDF file posted here is not adequate. Thank-you

Maybe it's because your code comment has "// Phase increment for SupperSaw"

Nothing too crazy please. For me it could be black, white/cream, cobalt blue like the Modal , grey, or natural steel/aluminum finish. But not fluorescent green or pink - really!? I love love love the radius on the top panel though - you seriously have to keep that.

Use 'shift' when in the main page to access the user pots. Saved parameters (using System Page) applies to every patch! There is not a set of parameters per patch.

I thought the development focus was supposed to be Midi CC mapping, or do the 'user pots' have to come first? I would love to be able to use my midi keyboard controller (Novation 61SL) to alter parameters, but this is not reliable at the moment.

Is there any news about a metal housing for Jeannie? I didn't get a plastic housing for mine as I don't really like the look. If a metal housing is more than 6 months away then I will probably make my own.

    Jeannie Polyphonic DIY Synthesizer

Yes, it would be nice if the Midi CC mapping is updated. I think the mapping in the user manual is not completely accurate. Great job though on v1.86
