ABOUT the JV1080 was an expanded JD990: more waves, voices. 8MB rom sounds. it is based on samples. 4 layers of 3 envsx4 =12 with 2 LFOs per layer =8. all put together in 10 structures (ringmod or/and boost)
ABOUT der JV1080 ist faktisch, was Roland mit dem JD800 und JD900 begonnen hatte, er ist faktisch genau das mit mehr Wellenformen, was den JD990 ausmacht. 8MB rom sounds. Der JD800 war sowas, wie der erste beknopfte "Rompler" (Samples im festspeicher, nicht änderbar), er bot 4 Schichten von OSC-filter-Verstärker mit je 2 LFOs - Strängen und wurde pro Strang um einige Stimmen erleichtert, so ist ein 4-Schichten (Layer) Sound 6stimmig. Er hat also 2x4 LFOs und 4x3 Hüllkurven und 4 Filter.

DETAILS The Envelopes are all 7 or 8 parameter-multisegment ones! The filters are all ok exept the strange clipping at a certain level of resonance with some waveforms. full control via Midi SysEx. ringmod can be placed between the 4 layers: this is the prototype of Rolands following JV series and lots more.8MB ROM waves. FXM = sort of FM with square wave (depth and colour) 10 structures instead of 6 on the JD990 (added boost)
DETAILS Die Hüllkurven (12 Stück also) sind alles Multisegment-Hüllkurven mit Time-Level Struktur (7, bzw 8 Parameter), Die Filter sind gewohnt gut, nur gibt es bei bestimmten Wellenformen eine Art Clipping bei höheren Resonanzwerten. war komplett SysEx-Echtzeit steuerbar per Midi. die ringmod kann zwischen den 4 Layern platziert werden. diese Struktur wurde lange beibehalten zB JV Serie. 8MB ROM waves. FXM= eine Art FM mit rechteck (parameter: colour + depth) pro OSC nutzbar. 10 Verschaltungen (structures) statt 6 beim JD990 boost kam dazu.
