OS X „Berglöwe“ kommt im Sommer, ist weitgehend iOS-Anpassung, bringt die bekannten iOS Apps und Integration für Social Web mit, setzt iMessages auf OS X Ebene um (ersetzt iChat), etwas brisant und in den Medien als Vorteil gelistet ist die Sicherheitsfunktion, nur aus dem Appstore, nur bekannte Entwickler oder ganz freie Programme installieren zu können. Unter der Haube ist wenig passiert, daher keine große Sache – aber sicher ein Versuch, Microsoft Windows 8 etwas entgegenzusetzen. Preise oder kostenfreie Abgabe ist nicht bekannt.
