Corsynth – C104 Odyssey of Sound VCO (5U Module/Moog Size)

Moog Size Module just released at Corsynth (5HE) – it has a Ring Modulator built in and a soft cliping (via diode) along with hard sync. the tuning is freely adjustable – (octave switch would be the other version of how to do it). it’s 245€ – the special thing here is the ringmodulator built into the VCO. NAMM also brought a lot of new modules by WMD, Makenoise and EOwave (see the image above) others.. and – Buchla showed off their Music Easel under the Electronic Music Box name. Cylonix Cyclebox Oscillator Module

CYLONIX CYCLEBOX is a digital Oscillator but is is able to generate a large (huuuge!!) frequency range which sounds like it might be good at FM and everything that is modulated at higher speed (audio, possibly beyond?) , it also has Sync to offer and a lot of waveforms compared to „standard“ analog oscillators. these shapes look interesting: Random pulses, truncated sawtooth, bipolar pulse, mirrored bipolar pulse, resonant sweep, mirrored resonant sweep, vowels, mirrored vowels there are nonlinear waveforms (however – don’t know how they are made /of ..) that „Mega“…

this seems special and made for Xmas.. CLUB OF THE KNOBS – ANALOG MODULAR SYNTHESIZER. the 5HE module generates Euclidean Sequences that seem to have their own timing/clock – 4 tracks / channels… worth a closer look when there’s more to read and listen and hopefully to watch.. btw: have you seen that vocoder-kind of thing called the audio spectral modulator? so, COTK (club of the knobs) are going to be one of the more interesting manufacturers for innovative module concepts for moog sized modules.. there are not too many of…
