Apples Mac Pro wurde lang diskutiert. Nun bringt ihn irgendein schräges EU Gesetz zu Fall. Bis Ende Februar kann man ihn noch kaufen, danach ist Schluss. Der Verkauf geht dann nur noch außerhalb der EU. Damit ist kein „Pro“ Rechner mehr erhältlich bis Apple sich bequemt neue Mac Pros zu bringen, die auch kranken Richtlinien der EU genüge tun. So starb auch Yamahas WX Serie einst. Ganz toll. R.I.P. Mac Pro
there have been quite a lot of interesting things at NAMM, see all the 2-3 pages of news – here’s a new Apple-Keyboard-kind of MINI USB Keyboard from CME with polyphonic Aftertouch and Dynamics for $99 .. also Behringer got a range of Mixers that also work as an audio interface in 4 sizes – as a small 19″ rack, a bigger one like the Yamaha 01V96 and the 2 X32 mixers with OLED displays for track names and full knob control – they are all iPad controllable as well…
this is a simple app by Steinberg/Yamaha themselves to (remote) control the newest Cubase version called Cubase iC Pro for iPhone & iPad for 15€. seems not too detailed but „nice“ – but there may be nicer one for the money or a little more ..?

finally they did something wonderful for all FM Synth lovers like Yamahas DX7 or Software Clones from NI (FM8) or Linplug Octopus (I never owned it, but can play samples additional to the NI one). well, propellerheads version is quite close to work like the original – means – there is one LFO, one Pitch Envelope and all the 6OP goodness you expect.
