just saw there is a new very Microkorg-style version of the ultranova plus or minus X from novation called Mininova – that m-word is big nowadays. 400€. 37 Tasten/Keys Keyboard mit/with standard MIDI I/O 3 x Oszillatoren / Oscillators, 1 x Noise-Generator, 2 x Ringmodulator/s 15 Filter type – Filter Typen Arpeggiator, 33 Types of Patterns – it has 8 step ARPer which is nice, and well – there is these 8 buttons also being used for variation like LFO speed change for 8 different wobbles or vibrato etc. very cool.…

looks like Arturia is now permanently lowering prices of all softsynths to 119€ (199€ for most of them before). means – it’s about lowering prices to get the people to buy software who found it’s all too expensive these days, so possibly the synths may work out to cost 99€ for GOOD ONES sooner or later? hmm, did Cubase or Ableton get cheaper because Logic is now 150€ instead of 400€? Hmm, no – but… Ok, and to tell another thing – they went 64bit- it’s NOT a summer special…

Avid wants to concentrate on the Pro Tools (in many ways) – They still have Akai, Numark and Alesis, Novation and sold even some Video Software is sold to Corel (rather non mac’ish company) so m-audio is now in „inMusic“’s hand. I’d not expect something really different, since they all sell well – so no1 should be worried that much. ___ Focusrite, Alesis, Numark, Novation und Akai gehören zur Avid Gruppe, deshalb könnten sie Technologie austauschen. Big Display for Akai MPC1000 + MPC2500 running special JJOS

This is some sort of „proprietary“ but it shows, how a real new plattform is born without having your own hardware development done and concentrate on a community and your software. Or possibly this might work, meanwhile you simply can have a larger display.. ;) so this is the larger screen on the MPCs (no MPC500 but the other 2), they need a special JJOS and you wont be able to „return“ back to normal but is simply a great idea how to really extend the capabilities. http://www.mpcstuff.com check this…

MacBook Air 13″ Mid 2012 Teardown – Page 3 – iFixit. tells us – you can not replace SSD or RAM yourself, since RAM is soldered and the SSD has a very special apple only connector, which is for the sake of apple being the one and only a very own unique one, so – you CAN’T do anything or buy SSDs or RAMs at fair prices anyware, same for the 11″ MB Air. so, guess what I think – the same thing on the new next generation Macbook Pro…
