Korg releases Triton Taktile. It#s basically a combination of Controllers like Pots, Sliders and Pads with different keyboard sizes – 49 / 25 – no 37 note keyboard.- it has a small simple synth aboard but not full access to everything so this isn’t for the nerds, this is for something to do fast and without too many special wishes on sound design. M-Audio unexpectedly brings out something that looks like NI Maschine but with 16-Step Sequencer Line – this is basically Drum Pads and a jam-type of sequencer like the Akai MAX49 has, so – this is still a controller not a groovebox or host or even a drummachine. that sequencer can not be reprogrammed but could be a cool tool if one could access it – it has built in midi as well to send the sequences somewhere. since M-Audio belongs to the Akai/Numark/Alesis Group (inMusic) this might be the same…

you do know it – I am a fan of Aalto, and they or Randy makes an new Aalto influenced plugin which is not the same but a new concept which will base on grains and granular synthesis and it has physical modeling in it.. aaaand – it can access and play samples – well it’s playing it granularly. here’s a little preview since it’s not yet out – but you can get Aalto for $49 these days for a limited time period. very interested in checking it out ..
