Andy from Sennheiser in Palo Alto, CA showed us a new toy at the Loopfest, Santa Cruz – almost for singers, loopers and experimental musicians (so possibly not really synth related) but anyway – interesting stuff.. no, it’s not a controller but a controller with microphone that can be used to control a looper (like looperlative, ableton live etc.) what it can do right now – they’re open to ideas & improvements…

Tomorrow Apple will release the new OS called Lion. well – you knew that – Ableton Live won’t run, so if you upgrade wait for updates first. Morgen kommt der Löwe, aber löwt es auch? Nein, deine alten Editoren laufen nicht (Rosetta heißt das alte Ding, was den alten PowerPC Code laufen ließ – und in Lion fehlt), man kann aber über Virtualisierung oder einem Neubooten mit einer Partition auf dem noch ein „altes“ OS läuft. Korg Microkorg und Nord Modular etc. laufen jedenfalls nicht mit dem Löwen. Ansonsten kann…
