Roland SPD-SX Sampling OctaPad

Roland CONNECT – SPD-SX: Sampling Pad. has 2GB ROM Samples and 260 Mins of free Sampling RAM, so it took decades, thought it would come much earlier but here it is – the SPD SX samples drum sounds and is as I thought Pads should be at least minimum. and it has USB and another port for usb stick (which is nice but watch your sounds on stage, then) – the only odd one I can see it has no MIDI thru, and a bit more „control“ or elastic audio…

ok, they seem to have my data now and at least signal they are „approving“ it. so there’s a big chance the passport I sent to them will be read, it does NOT say it it will be accepted. update 20.aug.2011 – the message is in english now, looks like the „few days“ mean weeks – the english version reads a bit „harder“ about „violation of rules“, don’t know how many languages, still they’re examining my passport and lots of links proving me as a real person… will it bend?……

Microkorg Digital Synthesizer – yes, I like it-and use it a lot on stage. so why not just thinking about what can be done with it.. Ein Synthesizer, den ich viel einsetze – besonders live. Wieso nicht mal drüber nachdenken, was man alles damit anstellen kann. Auch könnte man ihn in einen anderen Synth ganz anderer Bauart einbauen, vielleicht sogar in einen RS7000 oder sowas? microKORG modden… @ Sequencer.de Forum.

VSTForx allows free routing of VSTs, so it’s kind of „modular“ VST host. Additional features: add plug parameter on stage and bind them. operators for parameter connection (inverse, EXP, …) step sequencers and switches audio2parameter-value modules(e.g. ADSR-trigger) load several VST-instruments and assign them via MIDI-channel comes as fx, and VSTi Currently available for Windows. FXpansion – Geist. to me the best instant slice tool ever, it’s as fast as dragging the loop to it’s „input“, it analyses the sounds and assigns them to the pads, finds out doubled types of drums and stacks them up on one pad for variation – this is really the best and fastest way, even on stage, to handle slices/drumloops – i checked a real complicated jazz loops, no big thing, 2 clicks and it was ready to play ALL sounds cut at the right place..
