Bitwig is a bit like ableton – that means – the synths and plugs are below the audio track and arrange window, it has most of the things known from ableton – but it has a modular „environment“ which is more like max or the logic environment. this sequencer also includes probability settings, plays chords and more than just triggering a note at a time – like choosing a scale etc.
if you’ve been following Keith McMillens new QuNeo Controller it looks a lot like it is all based on Max/MSP (hard to handle but..) there have been sequencers for Monome doing almost the same – following a clip referring to the position and showing it via the Pads quite similar to a TR808 or Electribe kind of sequencer – mosly limited to 16 or 32 steps (unfortunately) but this one looks promising – just because those slides are colour coded and may show the position later and jump when one 16-bar…
AKAI APC Effect Sequencer by Mark Egloff this is IDM / Glitch Sequencer from Akai and Ableton with Max4Live, note this is only for Akais APCs, maybe Launchpads CAN be adapted after clicking a lot of things in the Max Editor. Granulator is a new free instrument for Ableton Live with Max for Live. Basically Live is already based on granular sample technology, but there has never been a V-Synth kind of sampler or synthesizer (don’t know why). but here it is – made by one of Abletons founders – but you need max for live… Ableton – Robert Henke (Monolake) – Granulator. This is an App for iPad that emulates the original Launchpad function plus Controllers (Mixing etc), but not the Max4Live or Chase Light Sequencing stuff, this is for triggering clips and controlling volumes etc.. midiPad in action from kai on Vimeo. – triggered by the matrix ;)
