this is a prototype of the new lapsteel guitar by Moog. He also played at the Y2K+X Loopfest 2011, Santa Cruz/San Jose, USA in Santa Cruz. He’s a brilliant player so he’s the man to ask – afterwards we had a nice „questionaire“ about looping, if you are nerdy enough – this is for you. Andy from Sennheiser in Palo Alto, CA showed us a new toy at the Loopfest, Santa Cruz – almost for singers, loopers and experimental musicians (so possibly not really synth related) but anyway – interesting stuff.. no, it’s not a controller but a controller with microphone that can be used to control a looper (like looperlative, ableton live etc.) what it can do right now – they’re open to ideas & improvements…

GRPs Synthesizers are really huge. I had the chance to listen to all of them, exept the new upcoming A4, which is in fact the one, that is made for most of us. why? it has no „doubled“ synth engine (like the A8 Analog Synthesizer )  which makes it much more afforable  plus it has everything needed, the smaller „minimoog style“ A3 Analog Synthesizer  was a bit too limited (for me).
