2 Projects introduced – Raspberry Pi running Pure Data / Parallella for audio multi threaded/core operation – platform

This is the small raspberry PI Computer, which is nerdy as hell, but a very nice chance to get even a synth to work with this project – didn’t know it was fast enough so – here’s a demo of it strange, that guy wrote on his Remote XL instead of using the display, but he’s more clever than I am, since he knows how to handle this: first session with the Raspberry Pi running Pure Data. I’m running Pd 0.44 (test version) with „-nogui -noadc -alsa“ flags + a…

Audiobus – connecting apps – app to app streaming!

Audiobus is an interesting way to connect to stream audio and to manipulate that audio via multiple apps. this is audio „networking/streaming“  for a bunch of audio process afficionados like us.here’s another blog that posted about it Audiobus Approved By Apple » Synthtopia whould be great to try to connect multiple or just 2 iOS devices to be used as one „modular“ system somewhere later (when there’s enough power and the connections are fast enough to get it all done at low latencies) app-to-app audio streaming for iOS in the us app…

Avid Hd Native – Thunderbolt Audio Interface

Avid | Pro Tools|HD Native – is a digital audio interface with thunderbolt which is the second after apollo . I really wonder why no one dares to show up with a nice 24 or 32 audio in equipped analog interface which is the most wanted, instead we need to buy our converters separately which won’t be cheap, so this is clearly apple style price tag design. ok – I can understand, that some converters are better but NOT for their resolution, since most of them will provide 24bits at 96khz and…

Avid sells M-audio away – Avid verkauft die Marke M-Audio an inMusic

Avid wants to concentrate on the Pro Tools (in many ways) – They still have Akai, Numark and Alesis, Novation and sold even some Video Software is sold to Corel (rather non mac’ish company) so m-audio is now in „inMusic“’s hand. I’d not expect something really different, since they all sell well – so no1 should be worried that much. ___ Focusrite, Alesis, Numark, Novation und Akai gehören zur Avid Gruppe, deshalb könnten sie Technologie austauschen. Sie könnten theoretisch unter diesen Labels erscheinen, so wie der [Synth]Miniak[/Synth], Ion und [Synth]Micron[/Synth]…
