My new Jp4 Interface is here – CC’able Jupiter 4

Here’s about and where I got it from. Stunning new Jupiter 4 Interface coming with MIDI Controller for all knobs etc..

checked the instructions: some easy soldering plus setting the interface on top of the Jp4 Processor.
had the Promars close, so don’t ask – just wanted the compuphonic be on that images..

Hard to do? Well, there’s some pins to reconnect (plugs to be exact), there’s 3 Cables to solder, quite easy places. And there is the processor to remove and the new one to install back at it’s place. And 2 Holes need to be made for MIDI. So it’s a bit more than the Electroservis one, but it will do more.

Wie schwer ist das zu machen?

Also einige Punkte sind zu löten, davon ist keiner kritisch. Hab das als Fotos vorliegen. Das sieht nicht so schwer aus.
Das „schwierigste“ ist das mit dem Prozessor. Der muss rausgehebelt werden. Das erfordert aber eher Geduld und ein bisschen Fingerspitze™.

Aber es sind 15 Punkte. Sieh selbst, ob das was für dich ist. Das meiste ist Stecker abziehen und anstecken und 3 oder 4 Kabel sind zu löten. DEr Proz wird aufgesteckt, bei einigen Boards wird er über Abstandhalter aufgesteckt, wegen Abstand..
Ich bin auch eher nur Gelegentlich-Löter heute. Und ich würde sagen: Es ist einen Tick mehr als die Elektroservis-Variante, aber ungefähr diesen Skill braucht man plus Prozessor raus/rein. Man muss ihn aber nicht löten oder sowas. Keine IC-Lötbratorgien.
