Modal Craftrhythm – Sample-Drummachine

Ich Esel hab es gesehen und gedacht – na, das ist doch nur ne App mit Sequencer, nein ist sie nicht. Das ist kein Craft Synth sondern ein ganz neues Gerät, nämlich ein Sampler mit 8 Instrumenten, AHD-Hüllkurve und Tiefpassfilter mit Pan/Volume pro Kanal, 16 Steps und 16 Speichern, die man „chainen“ kann. Außerdem gibt es 3 Methoden von Tonhöhenanpassung – Klassisch, Stretching und PitchShift, was eine andere Methode als „Granular“ ist. Es gibt auch einen Editor für Tablets (iOS und Android). 16 Bit und 44.1kHz ist die Qualität und 64 Samples dürfen es sein. Kommt für unter 99€ als Zusammenbau-Kit, aber ohne löten, sehr simpel zu machen.

This little box ist not the Craft Synth, it’s a sampling drum machine with 8 instruments, 16 bit / 44.kHz samples and 64 samples can be stored into the little thing that is sort of „mini DIY“ synth – but no soldering is needed, you just put those PCBs together and it all will stay under 99€ – can be controlled via tablets (ios/android) and offers 3 versions of tuning the samples internally – time stretch and pitch shift do the „new style“ and keeps the length, the standard mode will use the classic sampling method – speeding it up turns up the frequency of the sample – with „Mickey Mouse“ Effect as we know it from the pre-granular era. it has a low pass filter per instrument with volume and pan – and 1 AHD envelope as well. so it is basically a bit more than a volca sample in quality – can hold 16 patterns and chain them but it is 16 steps only – with chaining it’s one 16×16 pattern at least or 8×16.. so it is limited but for that price a very interesting basis to any Sequencer that speaks MIDI via USB, which is on board.
