ARP / Tonus waren einer der Synth-Pioniere und hinter dem ARP Odyssey, 2500 und 2600 stand der doch selten in der Öffentlichkeit stehende Alan Richard Pearlman (ARP). Mit 94 Jahren ist er nun verstorben und sein Erbe sind heute einige Clones und auch er hat im Odyssey und 2600 damals Moog-Filter „gecloned“, man hat sich später geeinigt denn ARPs Oszillatoren waren stimmstabiler als die von Moog. Korg seems to have officially licensed / teamed with ARP. Ok, that company was sold – so don’t know what the situation is and was – but now – they have an Odyssey for us. This year. Since the MS20 Mini is selling well, they look like making the classic synths for us, now? Hopefully shrunken as the Mini and with dynamics? ;) (no irony – I love it).
