Garage Band iOS Step-Sequencer (!)
Der neue Sequencer von Garage Band ist wirklich gut, unten rechts sieht man die einzelnen Modi,
man kann die Dynamik mit dem Finger bestimmen und bei der Einstellung die Balken zoomen, es gibt Probability-Steps, also solche die gespielt werden mit einer bestimmten Wahrscheinlichkeit, außerdem gibt es die Roll Funktionen, deren Häufigkeit man selbst angeben kann. Sogar die Längen der einzelnen Spuren können verschieden lang gestellt werden.
Das einzige was fehlt ist eine Art Arrangement für die Patterns, dann wäre das eine extrem spannende Groovebox. Man kann neue Patterns auswürfeln und die Soundsets sind klassisch wie 808 und Co – hier wären eigene Samples super. Das Lob dafür insgesamt ist aber berechtigt, dennoch ist GB eher für Leute gedacht, die schnell einen Song komponieren wollen und nicht nach Sounds suchen sondern eben die musikalischen Mittel nutzen möchten. Das ist konsequenter als sonst wo gelöst und daher auch in sich plausibel.
Tja, sowas in Logic wäre schön, ja es gibt Ultrabeat, aber das ist schon anders, auch wenn der immerhin 32 Steps hat. mehr dazu: Garage Band bekommt einen Sequencer
