Looks like, they got a Casio CZ on the iPad for us? The classic CZ series with phase distortion – possibly on the Casio booth on some/a 19.99€ – not cheap but … UPDATE: they got it! named CZ App for iPad fair What’s it about? there’s 2 FM Synth apps all with 4 OP FM (not like the DX7’s 6OPs) but here’s another one upcoming FM app the FM4 by Primal Audio. coming in december – since I am a big fan of FM synthesis – here’s what’s different in here: unisono fatness microtuning arpgeggiator 8 voices on iPad 2 -3 sound engines – retro sound emulation so this may sound more authentic than DXi (which is a no brainer as well) and another one which is quite expensive.. will cost 99cent (introductory price)

This modular has not only a sequencer, it is also capable of something others did for the iPad output like BruteLFO – but they are mostly limited to one CV which is not that much for such an expensive desire like the iPad – so zMors can address 8 outputs and control analog synths via multiport audio interfaces – so the trick is – get a nice interface – and here’s what to do: expert sleepers ES3 is also working with the iPad when using this super tiny ADAT interface…

there it is – another modular knob, slider and knobs addition for iPad. here you got a case where all controls are added to and the iPad inserted below so the display can shine through – but – well – makes everything else a bit hard to control – so it might not be a perfect solution but allows to display things.. designed by Florian Born it looks totally cool – sort of steampunk style.. B-Step is a Sequencer (mentioned here before) that runs on almost deny platform and now it’s going into it’s second round – version 2. here’s the updates and there is a lot of stuff going in like „roll/flam“ in another way – this time called ratcheting (the older word for playing some steps faster) has several new modes that allow song construction and complex polyrhythmic stuff. the trick is: it is a 4 row sequencer but you can set a number of chords / scales to it and switch them…

Das neueste iPad Air 2 ist laut Geekbench3(ich verlinkt mal die Gesamtliste aller Macs) so schnell wie ein Macbook Air von 2014 und besitzt 2GB RAM und 3 Kerne und ist deshalb erneut leistungsfähiger als dessen Vorgänger. Perfekt für die Musik und Synthesizer sowie die Kombination über Audiobus erlaubt komplexe Sounds. Man kann bekanntlich das iPad jetzt über Bluetooth MIDI, WLAN (nur direkt, nicht über einen Rooter; wie das geht habe ich mal hier beschrieben und wo was zu klicken ist).
