Read Morethere have been quite a lot of interesting things at NAMM, see all the 2-3 pages of news – here’s a new Apple-Keyboard-kind of MINI USB Keyboard from CME with polyphonic Aftertouch and Dynamics for $99 .. also Behringer got a range of Mixers that also work as an audio interface in 4 sizes – as a small 19″ rack, a bigger one like the Yamaha 01V96 and the 2 X32 mixers with OLED displays for track names and full knob control – they are all iPad controllable as well…
Read Morebasically the same as the original Spark but without the display and smaller – and therefore cheaper.. one of the ones that got the idea – TR-style sequencer and all in one controller. the performance bit using the pad willis still possible it’s not a display, but seems they left all of importance in. performing drums! Skip to 2:12 for Hardware Overview / 14:22 for Demos just demo – no real „content“ but to tease, but maybe nice to watch for french housists and another very cheap controller for 99€..…
Read Morethere’s 2 new controllers – the Max25 with 4 Faders (instead of 8) also has a step sequencer like the big MAX49.. aaand the sample Pad Controller (!) with display, MIDI and USB connection, 8 colour pads, sounds via SD Card!! – not an mpc but a drum sampler!
Read Morethis is a simple app by Steinberg/Yamaha themselves to (remote) control the newest Cubase version called Cubase iC Pro for iPhone & iPad for 15€. seems not too detailed but „nice“ – but there may be nicer one for the money or a little more ..?
Read MoreLaunchkey is a new little iPad Preset Synth with morphable parameters and a new controller keyboards with 16 pads is released under the same name as well. the launchkey-app is already available at the appstore, since there is already another app named launchpad we’ll see if it will be released under that name – it’s planned to add something to the pads – maybe sooner or later to control ableton live in a launchpad manner?..
Read MoreBitwig Studio is in here, it may look like a normal Maschine, but is is really just Bitwig in use here, looks very interesting to us grooveboxers, right? So there’s something in the making that may be able to be controlled by „any“ controller.. something I put on my wishlist years ago.. -> UPDATE: 26.3.2014 is the time when Bigwig will be released and the price be announced. also will be shown at NAMM 2014 – and the Musikmesse is also right there (12-15.3.) UPDATE 2: CDM says it’ll be 299€…
