Synth-Project presents: The Little Shruthi-1 Keyboard – A closer look (not a musical demo)

Synth-Project did it again building a synth keyboard and knobs around the well known Shruti -1 vom Mutable Instruments – not that it is a functional more fun to play work, no it is just also looking nice – reminds a bit of a slightly flattened little phatty – so this is a bit more than a „controller“ – it’s a mod. -> Mutable Shruti , Shruti XL Synth the standard Shruti -1 looks like this and sounds like this:

those touch sensitive keys called Evo went in the Musikmesse at 2800€, but now they can be aquired for 1199€. endeavour GmbH – note that the missing wheels can be set that way: choose the first C – assign Mod Wheel to it, second key (D or C#) and assign it to Pitch Bend – relative or absolute – there you go. – and also note – those keys are much longer / larger than normal piano or synth/weighted keys, at least to have more room – they got a different feeling…

very cool multitouch gestures, $199! only – hope for a cool € price – not mentioned right now but they will tell, depends on distribution I assume. recent stuff – really hope for Apple Logic native support!! btw- it’s a MAX runtime, that is running in the background here. possibly not needed in ableton live if this is a „native“ driver that is shown in live’s supported devices list. anyway – it’s great to see they are going to override the shift-button problem with gestures.
