Beta Testing has started – Ableton Live 9.2 will improve things more silently – means – there so revelutionary stuff to show up but..
well Push has to improve but they’re not talking about revolutions.
it’s 64 pads usage instead of the current reduced (drum) set of 16. so to say a swap mode 16 <-> 64.
better pressure support and touch strips configurations which is a good thing. can be used as a mod or bend „wheel“ – then/now.
you can grab the beta or wait till it’s all working fine (like me) – but you’ll know that it will be there in some days or weeks..
the second bigger thing is improving the impact of extremely stretched warped audio – seems they did something to have more punch on the transient „results“ by adding a „complex pro“ mode – also it seems to work better in terms of recognizing beats and slower audio content etc.
also better latency behaviour. especially for Max Apps.
a Tuner will be integrated.

Ja, Live geht in die nächste Runde – jetzt als Beta und bald für „alle“ als stabile Version mit eher freundlicher Kosmetik an einigen Punkten, es ist nicht alles perfekt mit Push und Sequencing, aber man wird aus 16 Pads nun 64 machen können als eine Art „Umschaltmodus“, außerdem gibt es bessere Unterstützung für Druck/Aftertouch und die Ribbons können nun als Bender und „Mod-Wheel“ verwendet werden.
Dazu gibt es einen Tuner zum Stimmen für Instrumente – also für einen Odyssey zB. ist das sinnvoll. grins
Neue Latenz-Optimierung für Max-Programme gibt es auch und des Systems insgesamt.
Und das Warping wird auf eine „Complex Pro“ Version ergänzt, die lang gezogene Audio-Elastik vor Schwangerschaftsstreifen schützt. Sprich – es wird mehr knallen und mehr „Hüllkurven-Einschlag“ geben, also „mehr Impact“ haben und nicht nur vor sich hin kalüngeln. Das ist nett. Eine bessere Erkennung ist wohl auch an Bord.
